We are happy to announce that Mandarin Oaks Elementary School is the winner of our Chevy Back-to-School Challenge.
In what turned out to be a very tight race, four Duval County Public Schools near Chevy Dealerships in Jacksonville, Florida, competed online against each other for $2,000 to be used towards arts, technology and/or P.E.
We popped in to Mandarin Oaks to surprise them with their good news. Click here to see a video reaction of the Principal and Assistant Principal.
Mandarin Oaks Elementary School will use the money to purchase interactive student tablets and response systems to monitor classroom learning. The school will use this technology for formal and informal assessments that will provide students with immediate feedback from their teachers about their academic progress.
Thank you to all students, parents, teachers and administrators at all of our participating schools (Hendricks Avenue, Hyde Park & Lone Star Elementary) for being a part of our friendly back-to-school challenge. We wish you all a very successful 2011-2012 school year!
