What happens when three GMC Yukon XLs with six DIY bloggers tackle 690 miles of Hidden Treasures on the World’s Longest Yard Sale? A Habitat house turns into a home! That’s what made up the GMC-OnStar Hidden Treasure Adventure this past weekend when GMC and OnStar sent three teams of DIY bloggers from around the U.S. and Canada, on a 3-day road trip in 2012 GMC Yukon XLs to see how many hidden treasures they could fit into the back of the vehicle.
The bloggers weren’t looking for random hidden treasures, they were on a mission to get as many items they could with the $250 budget they had to decorate a room within a Habitat for Humanity home in Birmingham, AL. GMC-OnStar partnered with the Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham chapter who identified the home build for the Moore Family as the home where the DIY bloggers would do what they do best – turn the hidden treasures they purchased into a beautiful home design.

The adventure started with a stop at the new Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Mack Avenue in Detroit.
For most of the bloggers, this was the first time they had been in GMC vehicle and used OnStar. You can find their blog posts about their experiences here:

Just a few of the finds from along the World’s Longest Yard Sale.

Just how much can they fit into the back of the GMC Yukon XL?
